Shining a spotlight on some of the best new additions to our city…

We’re a little more than halfway through the year, so we thought now would be a good idea to bring some attention to some of the businesses that are new to the Wichita Metro Kansas area. Split between food and entertainment, we did some research on what businesses have taken off. Need a nice night out? A fun weekend adventure? Just something to pass the time? Wichita is always growing, and so are its opportunities. Get out there and check out these new businesses!

Food

The Light Dry Bar and Grill

Located on North Broadway Street, this restaurant came to life after the founder of New Life Reentry Program, a nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless, previously incarcerated women get back on their feet, decided that Wichita needed a place where the community could go to have fun – without alcohol. The Light provides jobs for the women being helped by New Life, as well as delicious food and a nonalcoholic bar.

Although Fuzzy’s is a franchise not specific to Wichita, this taco shop was widely anticipated and did not disappoint upon its arrival to the city. The goal of the original Fuzzy’s was simple: “It would have frosty drinks. It would have good vibes. It would be the kind of place that you never want to leave. It would be a huge, craving-inducing success.” It’s safe to say that their vision was accomplished – Fuzzy’s has a reputation as one of the best taco shops around.
