Payments, am I right? Some days, they’re as easy as pie and on other days, they’re the bane of your existence. I think processing payments should always be simple and uncomplicated. Running a business isn’t an easy feat. If there’s one thing I’d do to make things better, it would be to streamline payments. Sean High, Account Manager at Acumen Connections, says, “Managing a small business comes it its own challenges. Payment shouldn’t be one of them. We know first-hand how to help you because we work closely with businesses just like yours.”

Knowing how to use your credit card reader can make a big difference, which is why we’ve put together this guide for you on the Dejavoo QD4 or QD2.

Before we get started though, we should clarify the difference between the Dejavoo QD2 vs QD4.

What’s the difference between the Dejavoo QD2 and QD4?

The main difference between the Dejavoo QD2 vs Dejavoo QD4 is that in case of Dejavoo QD2, you can use Wi-Fi or 4G while in case of Dejavoo QD4, you can use either Wi-Fi or ethernet. The Dejavoo QD2 is a mobile credit card reader and the Dejavoo QD4 is a countertop credit card reader.

Please note that both device types have the same buttons. The initial setup and connecting to the internet might be a little different. However, when it comes to day-to-day activities, they operate quite similarly. Typically, any information or knowledge you have on one device is applicable to the other.

Using a new terminal might seem intimidating, but it becomes easy once you go over a few steps. “I even filmed a video to show how to use the Dejavoo QD4 terminal and how to perform certain functions on it,” says Sean.

Getting the best payment processor for your needs

Choosing the right card reader for your business is just half of it. You also want to work with a credit card processor that understands your needs. A company that knows that your business isn’t the same as a big box store. When you work with a provider like Acumen Connections, you could save big using our merchant discount program. So much so that you could be eliminating your processing fees!

“One of my favorite features of the Dejavoo QD4 is that it can work with a merchant discount program like cash discounting so that businesses don’t have to absorb the cost of payment processing,” Sean shares.

Programs like these are easy to start. They just require working with a processor that offers the service, using a card reader that supports it (which both the Dejavoo QD4 and QD2 do) and setting up signs in store to be in compliance.

We make the process simple by providing signage for you.

Take a look at this signage that you could display at your store when participating in our merchant discount program:

White background bears the Acumen Connections logo at the top. Uppercase text headline says customer pricing notice. Text below says a service charge ‘dash’ is applied to all store sales. Cash discount: we now provide a discount to pay with cash and eliminate the service charge. Small print says payment processing provided by Acumen Connections. Green panel at the bottom bears white uppercase text saying, pay by cash and save.

Many businesses wonder how customers respond to a program like this. Typically, most customers don’t notice or care, and the ones that do are usually happy to save a little by paying with cash. When enrolled in our merchant discount program, your customer receipts will typically look like this:

Receipt displays elements such as order number, date, time, total, and credit total. Notice that the total amount and credit total amount are the same price. There is space for tip amount and total along with space for customer’s signature.

Our merchants typically see more cash sales and are able to eliminate their processing fees after switching to a merchant discount program.

Sean High concludes, “You can work with any provider you want to but not every provider will have your best interests at heart. Acumen Connections is a family business and that’s why we care about yours.”
